Centuries ago, in the gritty cradle of the birth of man, a lowly caveman sat. The skin of his latest kill lay stretched before him, taut and glistening with fresh viscera. BOOM! He slammed his hand down upon the skin. BOOM BOOM and thrice BOOM. The hand was swift, the rhythm was soon deep in the pocket. A wandering nomad heard the beat and was drawn in, captivated by the trance. He produced a mammoth tendon and strung it betwixt two femurs. BOOM TWANG TWANG BOOM. Others crowded round. Harmonies formed, octaves screamed into existence. And so, the seed was set. Bird and the beards haven’t evolved much, they’re still cavemen with shoes, but the primal BOOM Twang remains.
